Here & There – Connecting schools
The Here & There program was developed by Australia for UNHCR as a pilot in partnership with UNHCR’s global partner Skype, to provide connection and foster understanding between young people living very different lives.
In September 2011, Australian students from Killara High School Sydney spoke with young refugee students from a secondary school in the Nakivale Refugee Settlement supported by Australian donors through Australia for UNHCR.
They each gained a unique insight into each other's lives, while exploring their shared interests in areas like music and sport.
